Extrordinair attend Border Union Dog Show 2019
The Border Union Agricultural Society held its first Championship Dog Show in August 1975 and has held a Championship Dog Show every year since, excluding 2001. Extrordinair have been exhibiting for a number of years.
The modern day Border Union Championship Dog Show is held over two days, with the Gundogs, Hounds and Terriers on one day and the Working, Pastoral, Utility and Toys on the other. Entries are normally between 5000 and 6000 dogs, with classes for 116 different breeds scheduled over the two days. There are also variety classes for breeds that aren’t scheduled individually, and each day there are competitions to determine the dog or bitch awarded Best in Group. These dogs then compete for Best in Show on the Sunday, and there is a similar competition for the Best Puppy in Show, also judged on the Sunday – which Extrordinair are sponsoring this year!
